Enhancing one’s quality of life is a core part of Catholic Financial Life’s mission. One of the many ways we encourage this is by awarding our members a series of educational benefits. In fact, we awarded $283,000 in Catholic elementary, Catholic high school and college scholarships in 2018!

Another part of our mission is to serve God through serving others. That’s why we require volunteer work as part of the application process. High school and college students who are interested in applying for scholarships need to provide a log of their volunteer service hours. And what better time to volunteer than summer! Students can log their time from April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020.

Members can access the Summary of Service Hours form here.

While you’re accruing your volunteer hours, please keep in mind:

  • Students get double credit for volunteering with their Catholic Financial Life chapter, as well as with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
  • Applicants must be a Catholic Financial Life member for a full year in order to be qualified.
  • Applicants must volunteer a minimum of five hours to be eligible for a Catholic high school scholarship and 10 hours for a college scholarship. (No service hours are required for grade school scholarships.)

Providing scholarships is just one of the many benefits Catholic Financial Life offers its members. We hope you participate! And remember to have fun while volunteering!

Completing and submitting a scholarship application does not guarantee receipt of a scholarship.
