Catholic Financial Life Honored with MMAC’s Focus on the Future Award

Catholic Financial Life will be honored by Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) with a Focus on the Future Award in recognition of work done to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Catholic Financial Life is honored in the True Colors category for maintaining an employee-centric focus by managing the health and well-being of our associates.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our technology department enabled more than 90 percent of associates to work from the safety and comfort of their own homes within forty-eight hours. The Business Continuity Team continues to meet to prioritize health and safety, business continuity and service, communication, collaboration and cooperation. Recognizing the economic impact this crisis is having on so many families, the leadership team offered associates a special assistance check of $300.

We sought ways to connect our associates from afar, offering monthly virtual activities and games with a chance to win free gift cards. Associates are encouraged to continue their education and professional development through free online courses.

As a faith-based fraternal organization, caring for our brothers and sisters in need is something we do all the time. When a crisis strikes, we rise to the occasion, and this pandemic was no exception. We rallied in support of those on the front lines through our Love One Another Campaign, with donations of more than $92,000 and a match of $50,000 from Catholic Financial Life. We distributed more than $142,000 to first responders, food pantries and veteran organizations across the country.

Our Board of Directors, senior leadership, associates, advisors, members, volunteer leaders and friends have demonstrated resilience and a commitment to our mission during this uncertain time.

The MMAC Focus on the Future Awards will be presented in a virtual event on Sept. 18, from noon to 1 p.m. Honorees will also be included in a special edition of BizTimes Media. Registration information can be found here.
