It has been an amazing experience so far in the Dominican Republic. Our group has been in charge of putting on camps for the youth in the community each day. This past Sunday, we went on a tour of the water systems in the area. This system impacts five different communities and is run by only a few men in each village.
On Monday, we went to a nutrition center (essentially a day care) and spent time with children two to six years old. We brought the people in the community various supplies such as coloring books, puzzles, etc. In the afternoon, we then put on various camps including sports, music and art camps for the teenagers.
Stay tuned for more news!
